Probably the best way to reshape the buttocks is by utilizing the bodies own fat. Since fat isn’t always available implants will suffice. Buttock implants can't help shape the lower part of your buttocks, but fat injections can. Fat grafting to the buttocks is also known as the Brazilian butt lift.
Risks for this procedure are generally the same as for any major surgery. But fat grafting has a unique character in that it requires good circulation and minimal compression to survive. Therefore, it is a “marriage” of the technical skill of the surgeon and compliance of the patient to have the best results. So, other than risks, such as bleeding (mainly from the liposuction) and infection, etc., fat absorption is a min concern. If performed correctly, this can be reduced to between 20-30% of the total injected. That is, between 70-80% of the fat can survive.
