William Callaghan. MD (micro-needling Surgery)
Micro-needle therapy is a new method of utilizing tiny needles to remove the surface of the epidermis and allowing the body’s natural healing process to form new collagen. This is though to promote better elasticity and therefore a healthier appearing skin.
The needles are so fine and thin that tissue damage is unlikely. Only the surface of the epidermis is removed because the skin integrity actually remains intact. This allows the recovery to be fairly speedy.
This technique is used to treat fine wrinkles, hyper pigmentation and some scars. There is minimal downtime and 2 or 3 treatments are recommended per year.
